A Journey Home
Welcome to Our Yin Edition
With this retreat, we take you on a journey home. It’s a journey where you will meet yourself not only through individual practices, but also in relation to others. Together we will open a space where we will be able to recharge our batteries and dive deep into the human experience. You will leave this retreat with a renewed sense of self and your energy levels restored.
It is a weekend long residential retreat at the beautiful Seminarhaus Lindenbühl in Switzerland. You can choose between different accommodation options ranging from a private room to a shared room.
12 - 15 October 2023
About this Retreat
This retreat is as much about your body as it is about self-development and the powerful aspects of human connection. We have poured our combined experience of over 30 years into this retreat and are now ready to share this with you. All it takes is your commitment and willingness to show up with an open heart and an open mind.
On this journey we will explore questions like:
- How can I notice more of what is already present?
- How can I incorporate breath into my daily life?
- How can I apply touch in a way that is nourishing and comforting to others?
- How can I utilise sound and vibration to tap into my body’s innate healing capacities?
This retreat is for me if…
…I want to cultivate the connection to myself and others
…I want to gift myself time, space and energy
…I want to experience quality human connection
…I want to learn more about breath and bodywork
…I want to explore a different approach to yoga and meditation
We will stay at the beautiful Seminarhaus Lindenbühl in Trogen, Appenzell. Built in 1857 and carefully maintained over the years, this historic house has always been a haven for education and a place of refuge for those in need.
Accommodation and all our activities will take place in the bright and beautifully furnished rooms of the house. If you wish, you may go for walks in the forest behind the house or visit some of the local artists.
Through a holistic approach towards bodywork that embodies loving kindness and moving meditation, we connect with each other. We use genuine, intuitive and consent-based touch that will help us release tension in each other’s bodies.
Breathwork – Breath is a sustainable tool to restore, release and re-awaken our energy body. There will be daily breathwork sessions to support your inner journey accompanied by a final breathwork ritual. We use techniques from Pranayama, Conscious Connective Breathing and Somatic practices.
Embodied Movement – Fluid, fun and explorative movement sessions to connect with deeper parts of our body. The classes contain elements from yin yoga, spiral dynamics, myofascial work, hatha yoga, all accompanied by live music.
Meditation – Our morning meditations set the tone for the day. We will explore the body connection and how we can grow from the challenges we meet in life. Discover ways to realign yourself with what is important to you.
Sound Medicine – Discover yourself in relation to sound and vibration. We will have sound sessions, singing circles, explore body percussion and end with a cacao ceremony.
You can expect a variety of inspiring workshops ranging from meditation and yoga, to breath and bodywork. We will also have some surprises planned for you that we don’t want to tell you just yet. As a special bonus there is also a private sauna for the retreat where you can relax your body after a long day of training.
For brunch and dinner we will have organic vegan and vegetarian meals to nourish our bodies. The cuisine here is fine, careful, simple and with great quality, and all food is processed in the Lindenbühl kitchen. The food is seasonal and whatever can be bought in the region will come from there. Lovingly, skilfully and organically, the food is bought, cooked and served here. The Lindenbühl and its kitchen are Goût-Mieux certified.
The retreat will be from Thursday 14:00 to Sunday 12:00.
We will start our mornings with yoga and meditation. The morning sessions will be accompanied by live music. After the morning practice, we will have a vegan/vegetarian brunch. You will then have time to integrate, go on walks, journal or connect with the group.
In the afternoon, we continue with workshops around breathwork & bodywork that will continue the chosen theme of the day.
Before dinner, will use the time to go to the sauna and relax.
