Yin Retreat 2023

Welcome to the Yin Edition

We are excited to introduce you to a highly requested Yin edition retreat. Our intention is to take you deeper into the world of meditation, yoga, bodywork, and breathwork through high quality educational content that we hope will create a ripple effect of positive change.
It is a weekend long residential retreat at the beautiful Seminarhaus Lindenbühl in Switzerland. You can choose between different accommodation options ranging from a private room to a shared dorm.

About this Retreat

This Yin Retreat is all about recharging, reconnecting, and diving deep into body and mindfulness related practices. The workshops are designed to offer you a wide range of practices to connect you with your body and your inner wisdom, so that you can take these practices back into your daily lives. Explore and learn in a safe space.

You will be guided through these workshops by Gabriel, Lars, and Wotan, all of whom have many years of experience in their fields and are passionate about sharing these practices with you.

Location

We will stay at the beautiful Seminarhaus Lindenbühl in Trogen, Appenzell. Built in 1857 and carefully maintained over the years, this historic house has always been a haven for education and a place of refuge for those in need. 

Accommodation and all our activities will take place in the bright and beautifully furnished rooms of the house. If you wish, you may go for walks in the forest behind the house or visit some of the local artists.

Activities & 
Private Sessions

You can expect a variety of inspiring workshops ranging from meditation and yoga, to breath and bodywork. We will also have some surprises planned for you that we don’t want to tell you just yet. As a special bonus there is also a private sauna for the retreat where you can relax your body after a long day of training.

If you want to go a little deeper, our teachers offer private sessions/treatments during the times when they are not teaching. You can find out more about their expertise in the teacher bio. 

Food

For brunch and dinner we will have organic vegan and vegetarian meals to nourish our bodies. The cuisine here is fine, careful, simple and with great quality, and all food is processed in the Lindenbühl kitchen. The food is seasonal and whatever can be bought in the region will come from there. Lovingly, skilfully and organically, the food is bought, cooked and served here. The Lindenbühl and its kitchen are Goût-Mieux certified.

Schedule

The retreat will be from Thursday 14:00 to Sunday 12:00. 
We will start our mornings with yoga and meditation, followed by a rich vegan and vegetarian brunch. You will then have time to integrate, go on walks, journal, connect with the group or enjoy some alone time. 
In the afternoon, we continue with our deep dive workshops around breath work, bodywork and other special surprises. If the weather permits, we will also include a nature activity. 
After dinner, you are welcome to round off the day in the mobile sauna to give your body some nourishment and relaxation before a good night of restful sleep.

Travel / How to get there

…by public transport
Take the train to St. Gallen, then the S21 or S22 train to Trogen, followed by a short bus ride to the station Trogen, Lindenbühl. From there, it’s only a 2min walk to the location. Please note that there are other ways to get there, so make sure to use www.sbb.ch to check your connections.

…by car
From Zurich it takes a little more than 1hr.
From Berne it takes about 2.5hrs.

Please consider carpooling with other participants. It’s a good way to get to know your new friends and take care of the environment 😉 We will offer help with carpooling.

Additional Information

Upon receipt of your registration, we will confirm your participation and the registration is binding from that date on.  Please make sure that you make the payment for your spot as soon as possible, your spot is only confirmed once we’ve received your payment. It will be first come first serve. Please also read through our T&C for our cancellation policy. 

Insurance is your own responsibility. The facilitator/the teacher shall not be held liable for any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to persons. The participant waives any claim against the company/the teacher for any such loss, damage or injury.

Our teachers team has a combined retreat and teaching experience of over 30 years. More importantly, they are kind, generous, and profoundly knowledgeable in their fields of expertise.

Gabriel Schüers

Gabriel is a trained massage therapist with over 15 years of experience. He is passionate about combining knowledge from Breathwork, Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, Thai Massage and Cranio-Sacral Therapy. His goal is to encourage people to find liberty through movement, communication and touch. Gabe is well known for his precise way of teaching, big heartedness and unique way of holding space for individuals and groups.

Lars Eckmann

Lars has travelled the world exploring different forms of movement and meditation. He will be guiding you through a journey of self-discovery via the body. His style of teaching is fluid and his emphasis will focus around re-integrating the living tissue beneth your skin. Over the years, he has practiced many different styles of yoga most recently slings myfascial training and spiraldynamics. His maditations mainly focus on the non dual teachings of saiva tantra and vajrayana buddhism

Wotan Alvaro

Wotan is a sound healer, medicine songwriter & multi-instrumentalist. He uses the gift of his voice & special sound instruments to create a space that allows a deeper reconnection and remembrance of our true divine nature. He draws inspiration for his music from his lifelong connection with nature, the wisdom of a holistic lifestyle, the task of being a father to his children.
